What's new in Crawford, Texas
Crawford will be 150 years old this year. This is also the 150th Celebration of the Chisholm Trail. Crawford will welcome a visit of 100 head of longhorn cattle
at the Crawford Saddle Club, located behind the football field on 4th street. The public is welcome to come visit this magnificent herd and watch the cowboys entertain in the arena. More details will be given closer to the visit.
Crawford also has 4 new business opening their doors in town. Highlighted this week is
THE ROSE COTTAGE.
They are located in the Lammert Shopping Center, 6771 N Lone Star Parkway. Hours are Tuesday - Saturday 9 til 5. They specialize in hand quilted baby quilts, placemates, table runner, etc. They also have a large selection of vintage linens, crystal, quilting books and garden art. There are several other vendor booths also located inside. The owner is Gladys Farris. 254-366-0873 Welcome to Crawford!
The visitor's entrance to Tonkawa Falls is on 4th Street. Park in the football field parking lot. Cars are only allowed inside the gate when renting the clubhouse or RV space.
All inquiries for renting the Club House or RV spaces should call Crawford City Hall. 254-486-2125, 8:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday. The Clubhouse will hold around 30-40 people not including two covered patio areas. Prices are $100 City of Crawford resident and $300 non-resident.
